LocationShore Rd is a shallow bay area in Poole Harbour, it is quite easy at high tide to walk 500mtr out to sea and still be standing in water only 1 meter deep

Food & DrinkNearest shops are on the beach at Shore Rd, there is also the Sandacre public house on the corner of Shore Rd and Banks Rd
ParkingOn the roadside along Shore and Banks Rd, in the carpark in Shore Rd as you drive down towards the Shore Rd Beach. Both sites are Pay and Display, with rates changing between winter and summer seasons.
Flying & Riding requirementsKite Surfing is permitted in Whitley Lake (Shore Road) or off Hamworthy Park.

Kite Surfing is not allowed in the Harbour Entrance or any of the main shipping channels between the Bar Buoy and the Turning Basin at the Ferry Port. CCTV is in operation in Poole Harbour. Recorded video may be used in evidence to prosecute byelaw offenders.

Please do not block the public foot path along Shore and Banks Rd
Other infoThe small section of beach between Shore and Banks Rd get very busy with kite surfers setting up, even more so at high tide. Nobody uses the reed area as it is very boggy and has other area that have thorny type plants that will damage the kites. Most Wind surfer choose to set-up and launch away from this beach area with some going as far round as the Sandbanks Pavillion end of Banks Rd. This is a very popular spot in the summer and can be very busy.
